Lol, all the other surviving demons on the run or making plans for the future, and that one couple is just off to have sex on a deserted island…

Man, this series is so casually brutal sometimes, like the scene with the NEET girl who received a visit from Miku’s group. Makes me cringe a little just picturing what they didn’t show in gory detail…

RIZER • 2 years ago

That one couple truly prioritize their priorities xD

....... (ง˙o˙)ว • 2 years ago

AribethDeTylmarande • 2 years ago

The best place for that couple is a commercial for contraceptives. XD

Xcalibur100 • 2 years ago

Loving the brutality and minimized gore they got to offer..

DragoSlayer • 2 years ago

I mean...
They kinda one upped themselves on the first episode, but I agree tho, afterwards it's kinda a little bit.... "Eh"

....... (ง˙o˙)ว • 2 years ago

Hannibal Lecter would've enjoyed this I think. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kirito • 2 years ago

I forgot that this anime is really dark and brutal because it has this delicious unique cute art style

WorldGN18 • 2 years ago

I think that couple is the actually smartest of them all xD feeling bad for the whale though, I'm guessing their child will turn into a demon like the old ones

Kirito • 2 years ago

A delinquent attitude girl and smart dude a balance couple

WorldGN18 • 2 years ago

I think you are confusing the couples hehe

DragoSlayer • 2 years ago

She got the classic "special delivery" murder, that's sad....

IStandAlone Roronoa Zoro • 2 years ago

Not really, she had a shit attitude in her short moments and with people talking trash its just as good to treat them like trash and throw them.

Berserker • 2 years ago

I don't think she was that bad-she was just an online trash talker who was quite shy when it came to real life interaction

Kirito • 2 years ago

Yeah she had a pretty good life and now she dead but her face though it's still there

Berserker • 2 years ago

Lol yes and her hands

Vin1671 • 2 years ago

MonsterStrike Her • 2 years ago

Oviej • 2 years ago

Trash characters that isekai'd are my type of characters (i.e. KonoSuba)

Gigabarto • 2 years ago

nah she deserved it, NEETs do nothing for society or themselves and her attitude was trash

Opinionated Nugget • 2 years ago

So... Not contributing to society makes you worthy of death and mutilation? Yeah, I wouldn't wanna live in any kind of society you create...

....... (ง˙o˙)ว • 2 years ago

Somebody doesn't contribute to society. 🤭

I agree and I'm glad that sexy tan demon girl ended her neet life. That blonde hair girl assistant is so damn hot

Kirito • 2 years ago

When that blonde hair girl assistant used her face I was looking at her beautiful gorgeous body but has a neet face she's so hot

Poor Bonnie T^T

Kirito • 2 years ago

That poor hobo man he just called in the phone and now he is In prison

Episode • 2 years ago

Man, I sure missed that casual brutality. I haven't seen an anime/manga like that recently so I'm really happy when this anime just casually showed that.

wwlaos • 2 years ago

I fully support those two on the island and hope they happily churn out many more horrifying abominations. ^_^

FURIOUS • 2 years ago

But damn im the worst u know that throughout the whole series i was thinking something unthinkable. The srex is too much and too much is too much needed (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖).
NOW I THINK THE KID THAT WAS INVENTED BY THIER✨💥💣BIG BANG💣💥✨ WILL BE STRONG AND COMEBACK.

Iceknight Magna • 2 years ago

For me, this series has been a rollercoaster of interesting and disturbing --> cool --> pretty damn cool --> weird but fascinating > very intriguing and nicely cerebral --> disappointingly convoluted --> questionable --> bizarre.

I don't even know if I want to see the next episode. All I know is that I'm not as excited as I used to be to see the next one.

DragoSlayer • 2 years ago

Yeah, I agree with kinda falls a little bit flat afterwards.
For me it's the lack of human nature aspect of the show.
I can't explain it well, but somehow the deities actions, doesn't show them, bearing responsibilities with their action I guess?
It's like when the arc them destroying the kingdom happened, it's like they just go and do it, just like that, rather than having obligation, or the need to do so. It doesn't feel like they do, if that make sense

Judgment526 • 2 years ago

I don’t know…for me it’s precisely this aspect of the show that makes it so interesting. We aren’t meant to relate to the Idaten. In fact, some of the demons are more relatable, and this dichotomy between how relatable they can feel at times and how utterly repulsive their actions can be at others is pretty telling about human nature.

It’s a pretty fresh concept where the supposed “heroes” of the story aren’t so much like heroes at all, and the supposed “villains” are at once likable and hateable.

DragoSlayer • 2 years ago

I agree the concept is interesting and it's really refreshing to see if the good guys and bad guys role is given some gray level morality on each sides. That's the reason why I'm invested to this show, at the beginning...
The first issue that I realised lately is the tone shift at the 'pervy' scene.
Like remember, they hammered the first episode with a dark reality of war, and the devastation of what happened to the nun, that represents the fate of woman captured. The tone of that part of the story is what made me anticipate plenty from this show, something to be prepared of like a dark story to be told instead!
But then as it goes on.... They just made the entire thing with a... 'cultured' tone into it I guess?? Like the tone/impact we were introduced at the beginning, doesn't get reeled into the story again, or even come around at all.

Then the other part is the lack of clear direction of the story, like the one I tried to describe, there's no clarity on why the idaten done what they did, and even they gave some logical explanation on why, they just don't have the clear... Motivation/ desire behind it?
Like they done it cause they can, not because they want or should, which shows the lack of realisation of responsibility, and kinda shows they don't give a f*ck. It felt like it at least. That's why I hoped the new nun character would be the one that give the Deities that sound of reasoning, providing some inner conflict for the Deities, to rethink about how they view on their perspectives so far. That could really reel me in back.

I could say that the anime doesn't fit my taste, but hey, Drifters done quite the similar concept, having constant shift of tones between serious, and dark with comedy and lightheartedness, along side with questionable ethics group of individuals that lies on the good guys side of the conflict. And instead of feeling the same there, l absolutely love the drifters anime and manga.

Personally, I still like this anime, but have no strong investment like I had before. If it ended without an announcement for the second season, it wouldn't be a longing for me.
I really hope they're gonna put some developments on this part in the future, this anime really got strong potential to be great.

Sorry for the late reply, had some errands to do.
And I don't think I word this quite properly, my mind isn't working properly today for some reason xD

Judgment526 • 2 years ago

If you’re talking about the reason the Idaten annihilated the city, it was simply because the demons had infiltrated and taken control of it. There doesn’t really need to be a reason beyond that since killing demons is what the Idaten do.

As for the different tones used for the darker scenes, I think a distinction is made depending on whose perspective we see it from. The first episode was really the only time we saw the cruelty of the empire’s soldiers from a human perspective (Gill’s), whereas in all other cases the brutality is seen from either an Idaten or demon’s perspective, so a much more casual tone is employed (which is actually pretty low key disturbing).

I guess you just aren’t vibing too well with the show which is fine, though I think the WAY you view the show may also have an effect on your enjoyment of it. Personally, I think this is one of those stories best enjoyed when you take a more detached perspective, not necessarily rooting for one party or the other, but just swinging with what craziness it throws at you. That said, I am also looking forward to what human Gill, really one of the only relevant human characters in the show, will bring to the table.

DragoSlayer • 2 years ago

Yeah, I agree with what you said here. Like I get that they wiped out the demon because it's what they were supposed to do, but... Is that it??Like what drives them actually to do so? I would love further they have some sort of a personal drive behind it instead of it being currently how it is. And tbh, Rin showed the most real emotion out of all of them which something refreshing, coming out of the idatens and I like that.
And I guess I can agree with the tone shifting part, that's probably it. That would really made sense if that's the case and I think I can agree.

But you know don't get me wrong, I like the anime I don't hate it at all, but it just that my investment wasn't as strong as it was at the beginning. Like if S2 isn't announced, I won't be bothered, or longing for it. If it is, I would just be like, "Oh cool, I'll watch it then...", you get what I mean? xD
If they put in the parts I mentioned there to have some sort of clarity, and also adding in the aspects of the nun into the story, I would love it and that would reel me back in like it did before.

Judgment526 • 2 years ago

I mean, we’ve already seen how Rin was left behind and specifically tasked with safeguarding the seal and ensuring the demons don’t rise again. Being the last surviving Idaten of her generation, she had no choice but to toughen up and shoulder that responsibility. Isn’t that enough of a reason to act as she did?

As for the others, Hayato has a strong desire to become stronger and surpass Rin, Ysley is driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, and Prontea seems to be interested in experiencing as many different things as he can, but they all banded together in this instance because they recognized the threat the Zoble Empire posed if left unchecked.

Not sure why you still feel like they lack any personal drive. It’s all been explained or hinted at tbh…

DragoSlayer • 2 years ago

But hey, you know what?
Thinking back there would always be one real reason why I would have a strong reason to be attached to the show, and that's because of Priscalat.
Like man, her resemblance and etiquettes kinda reminds me of android 18, and I'm a huge sucker towards her 😋

DragoSlayer • 2 years ago

Yeah, that's what I like about Rin!
When she cried, and then sealed her emotions by doing all through the labors she had, and then the latest episode she acts this way, going through depression and longing for the past, man I felt her to be really humane, and I love that part alot
Like idk judgement, i have no reason to disagree with what you said, because it's something that's being pointed out in the story directly, I already said earlier that idk how to make sense on how I'm feeling about it, somehow.... "It doesn't feel like it?" I guess it's because when you said to watch it from a detached perspective, some how it actually made me detached at the first place?
Idk if it make sense, infact I don't even know how to explain on how make sense on how I'm feeling about it, from the first place xD
